Cobia are commonly found in nearshore waters, around buoys, markers, wrecks, and often cruising just beneath the surface along beaches. They’re frequently spotted following rays or floating structure, making them ideal for sight fishing opportunities.
We target cobia by sight casting with live bait or artificial lures, placing accurate casts in front of moving fish. Calm seas and good visibility are key to spotting and successfully hooking these powerful fish.
