Where & How to Catch Kingfish

Kingfish are commonly found in nearshore waters, reefs, and around bait schools just off the coast of Tampa Bay. They tend to follow schools of baitfish, making areas with active bait the best places to target them.

We typically target kingfish by trolling with live bait or artificial lures, covering water to locate feeding fish. When conditions are right, this method produces fast action and multiple hookups.
